BIR Compliance Overview

Last updated: 2026-06-02 Summary:

  • eKapital is a PH-first compliance platform covering BIR forms, 6 books, EIS, and CAS readiness.
  • Tax data is sourced from existing ledger entities — no parallel tax store.
  • Forms render via prescribed-layout templates with byte-validated DAT exports.

eKapital’s Philippine compliance layer covers:

  • BIR forms: 2550M/Q, 1601-C/EQ/FQ, 0619-E/F, 1603-Q, 1600-VT, 2306, 2316, 2307, 2551Q, 1604-C/E/F, 1701Q, 1702.
  • Books of Accounts: 6 BIR-prescribed books (GJ, GL, CRJ, CDJ, SJ, PJ).
  • CAS Registration (RMO 9-2021) and EIS e-Invoice integration.
  • Withholding Certificates (2306/2316) with public share-link delivery and 10-year retention.

PH tax data is sourced from your invoices, bills, journal entries, customer and vendor payments, withholding records, and pay runs — the same records your financial statements come from. Tax filing is largely report-only with no parallel tax store; filings post GL clearing entries.

Prescribed forms render in the BIR’s official layouts. Where a prescribed layout isn’t fully finalized upstream, the export is clearly marked as incomplete rather than silently wrong.

BIR Alphalist v7.4 DAT files are emitted in plain ASCII, byte-validated against BIR samples, using BIR’s whole-percent rate convention and the prescribed [TIN9][Branch4][MM][YYYY][FormType].DAT filename.

EIS integration supports submission, reconciliation, and backfill. CAS readiness targets the Annex B scorecard (audit trail export, software/version header block, recordkeeping). See Recordkeeping & audit.
